Mindfulness for Sleep

We all know how incredibly important good sleep is. It is medicine for both our body and minds. Unfortunately though, the complexity and stress of our modern-day lives has meant that we are getting less, in both quality and amount of sleep.

Mindfulness is a practice that is fundamental for dealing with insomnia or poor sleep patterns, and enables us to develop a more positive relationship with sleep.

In this 1.5 hour workshop you will…

·      build personal awareness around the psychological factors* that are contributing to your sleep difficulties

·      develop simple and practical mindfulness techniques to help you become more present and connected, and to help reach a sleep-conducive state.

·      Experience guided mediations to help you practice these techniques and to experience a state of calmness and presence, setting you up for a more restful night’s sleep, and many more ahead!  

(*This workshop will not be focusing on sleep disorders that are underpinned by a medical condition).

Facilitator: Carrie Hayward

Carrie is the co-director of Madam Heap. She is also a Doctor of Psychology and has been running her own private psychology practice for 12 years. She was first introduced to Mindfulness through her Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) training 15 years ago, and has since been teaching mindfulness to individuals, groups and corporates. She believes that learning to live mindfully can only enhance everything we do and experience, and loves working with individuals to truly optimise themselves and their lives.
